Naidu leads AP in paying tribute to Manmohan

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, describing him as a great economic reformer.
The CM visited Delhi to pay his respects to the late leader’s mortal remains and offer condolences to his family on Friday. Along with Naidu, Union Ministers Rammohan Naidu and Dr. Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, TDP MPs Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) and Sabari also paid their tributes.
Speaking to the media, Naidu praised Dr Singh for his tireless service to the nation and his visionary economic reforms.
“His death is a great loss,” Naidu said, recalling the former Prime Minister’s many contributions. “Dr. Manmohan Singh was a leader who brought about crucial economic reforms with foresight and served the nation in various capacities with great efficiency,” he added.
“Deeply saddened by the demise of Dr. Manmohan Singh, an intellectual statesman. His humility, wisdom, and integrity were his hallmarks.
From his economic reforms in 1991 as Finance Minister to his leadership as Prime Minister, he uplifted millions. His passing is a huge loss to the country. My heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, and admirers,” Naidu expressed.
Minister for Education, Electronics, IT, and RTGS, Nara Lokesh, said, “I am deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Manmohan Singh, a visionary leader who spearheaded India’s economic transformation. As a renowned economist-turned-finance minister, he implemented policies that significantly boosted the economy and fostered growth. While we mourn his loss, we celebrate his lasting legacy that continues to propel India forward.”
Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan said, “I was shocked to learn about the passing of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. I pray that his soul may rest in peace. Dr. Singh was a pioneer of revolutionary economic reforms. Having served as the Governor of the Reserve Bank and Chairman of the UGC, he later took charge as Finance Minister, ushering in reforms that elevated our economy. His contributions will always be remembered. My deepest condolences to his family.”
Former chief minister and YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed his grief over Dr Singh’s death, offering condolences to his family. “Dr. Singh’s service as Prime Minister, Finance Minister, RBI Governor, and Finance Secretary has been commendable. His role in shaping India’s economic reforms marks him as a pivotal figure, and his passing is a great loss to the nation,” Jagan said.
Ministers BC Janardhan Reddy, Kinjarapu Atchannaidu, Angani Satya Prasad, Kolusu Parthasarathy, Vasamsetti Subhash, and others also expressed their heartfelt condolences.
