A large number of victims gathered at the TDP central office in Mangalagiri, urging action against encroachers and looters, and demanding justice. They met with Minister Vasamshetti Subhash, State Warehousing Corporation Chairman Raavi Venkateswara Rao, and TTD Board Member Mallela Rajasekhar Goud, seeking action against corruption.
The victims alleged that during the tenure of the previous YSRCP government, several irregularities had taken place in the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) master plan. Many pointed to Vijay Sai Reddy and his associates as being behind these corrupt practices. They argued that an inquiry into the implementation of the master plan would expose the illegalities involved. Madhav Ravi Kumar from Visakhapatnam-Bheemili submitted a grievance to the leaders, calling for action against corruption.
M. Gangadhar from Ruttakrinda Palli village in Dharmavaram Mandal, Sri Sathya Sai district, filed a complaint about their house in Anantapur Town being registered twice. He alleged that S. Fakruddin, a local individual, was causing trouble, and claimed that YSRCP leader Gorantla Madhav, during his tenure as Circle Inspector, had supported the encroachers and harassed the victims. Despite receiving a favourable court verdict, Gangadhar alleged that officials had failed to cooperate and appealed to the leaders for justice.
B. Devudu from Vijayanagaram district claimed that YSRCP leaders had changed the names online and illegally grabbed his ancestral land. He requested an investigation and the restoration of his land.
Y. Chittamma from A Mallavaram village in Kakinada district complained that despite having concrete evidence, her land was included in the prohibited list. She sought justice, asking for her land to be cleared from the list. Retired employees from SERP also met with the leaders, requesting that the retirement age for staff be extended from 60 to 62 years.
G. Lakshmi Narayana from Anantapur Town appealed for help in reclaiming his ancestral land in Chadulla village, which he said had been encroached upon by relatives.
U. Srinivas from MR Palem in East Godavari district filed a grievance about a resurvey conducted by the previous government, which resulted in his land being transferred to someone else’s name. He urged the authorities to rectify the error.
These complaints highlight growing public frustration with land encroachments, illegal transactions, and corruption involving political leaders and their associates. The victims continue to demand prompt action from the authorities for justice.
