After that we wanted to produce a landmark film for our brother’s 100th film. Then we thought of the story of Alluri Seetharamaraju and we started work on it. We wanted to take the characterization of Alluri and added a few cinematic scenes. Actually, Seetha’s character is not there in the original life, but we added it for the film. We started searching for his stories from Nazar’s Burrakatha, historical background, books, facts and fiction. We prepared a story. NTR advises us not to make the film as he wanted to do it. My brother told him that if he is ready to make a film on Alluri, we will drop it. But he didn’t want to do it immediately, so we proceeded with our film. Nearly 300 artistes camped at Chintapalli. My mother was hospitalised, after the opening shot director Ramachandra Rao fell sick, my brother Hanumantha Rao was also hospitalised and he needed a surgery. So we stopped for one day and the entire unit asked Krishna to direct the film. But on the cards we kept V Ramachandra Rao’s name as director. KSR Das worked as second unit director as he composed the action scenes. SV Ranga Rao was not well, so we roped in Balayya. Satyanarayana didn’t act as he felt that NTR may get angry. Prabhakar Reddy was roped in his place. There are many actors in that film including Manjula, Jayanthi, Rajasree, Kantha Rao, Balayya, Prabhakar Reddy, Gummadi, Rajababu, Jaggaiah, KV Chalam and many others. After release, it was a sensational success.
