The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Science and Technology (AP COST) and the Department of School Education, NTR district, observed the National Mathematical Day, which marks mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan’s birth anniversary, at the Regional Science Centre, Bhavanipuram in Vijayawada on Thursday.
As many as 164 students from various schools in the NTR district exhibited their projects on National Mathematics Day. Out of the 164 projects, the judges picked the best five.
AP COST member secretary Dr. Y Aparna attended the programme as chief guest and presented prizes, medals, and certificates to the best performers.
Speaking on the occasion, she said that every student should know mathematics formulas that will be very useful in day-to-day life. She suggested that all students should take Srinivasan Ramanujan as inspiration and make innovations in the future.
AP Cost Project Officer JD Rao, District Science Officer Hussain, Judges Ravi, Ganesh, Prasad, Avani, RPS Nageswara Rao and others were present.
