IAS officers’ wives donate Rs 1L to Vijaya Mary School for Blind

The Andhra Pradesh IAS Officers’ Wives Association (APIASOWA) has donated Rs.1 lakh for repairs and renovations of the Vijaya Mary Integrated School for the Blind at Gunadala.

Association president Padma Priya, wife of Chief Secretary Dr KS Jawahar Reddy, committee members Anitha, wife of Solomon Arokya Raj, Sabeena, wife of AMD Imtiyaz, Bhanu, wife of P Ranjith Basha, and Prabha Bhaksar, wife of Katamneni Bhaskar, attended the semi Christmas and New Year celebrations in the school. The students performed various cultural programmes.

Speaking on the occasion, the association leaders highlighted the harmful effects of plastic on society and encouraged the use of cloth bags instead of plastic ones. They expressed happiness over participating in the Christmas and New Year celebrations in the school. Later, they cut a big cake along with students.
