Now, the producer is also planning to come up with his film ‘Girlfriend’ that stars Rashmika Mandanna and directed by Rahul Ravindran.
According to a source, the film was completed long back, but Allu Aravind kept it in the dark. The film is a romantic drama and Rahul Ravindran provided the story and he also directed it. The film completed its shoot in March last year, says the source. Geetha Arts is producing this film. “Now that ‘Pushpa 2’ has become a huge hit, especially in the Hindi belt, Rashmika has become a big star. Also she became nicknamed as National crush after her ‘Animal’ Hindi film which was a huge success. Allu Aravind waited for this time to release his ‘Girlfriend’,” says the source.
The film ‘Girlfriend’ has Rashmika as the main lead and all other actors don’t are not big names. So, the film’s success depends only on Rashmika Mandanna. Allu Aravind waited for a long time after Rashmika made her mark in down South and Hindi also. “It’s a female-centric film. The story speaks about the importance of women in everyone’s life,” added the source. Actor Deekshith Shetty of ‘Dasara’ fame is playing opposite Rashmika in it.
