TG govt must reveal whether it will probe phone-tapping case: Kishan

The Union Minister of Coal and Mines, G. Kishan Reddy, asked the Congress government to reveal whether it will probe the phone-tapping case or hand it over to the CBI.
Addressing the media at the State BJP office on Tuesday, Kishan said the BJP has asked the state government to hand over the phone-tapping case to the CBI and wondered why the BJP will block inquiry into the case.
“There are rules for bringing back culprits to India. A US court recently permitted the handing over of bomb blast case culprits even though the country had been trying for this since 1996. The CM should not become a joker by speaking like this. The Centre would take responsibility for investigating the case if the state hands it over to the CBI,” he said.
The Congress demanded a CBI probe into Kaleshwaram, ORR, phone tapping, power purchase agreements, land purchasing and other issues. However, after coming to power, Revanth changed his word. He should take up the probe if he can or else he should hand it over to the CBI,” Kishan said.
He said that he is not against the Musi Project and asked Revanth to explain who gave funds for the Metro.
“Why should the Centre block Metro construction if the state is ready to fund it. Revanth is trying to get applause from the Congress high command by criticising the BJP and me. However, there is no truth in the CM’s allegations,” he said.
