Telangana had a moment of joy with the announcement of the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024 results, as many candidates from the state, including beneficiaries of the Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhayahastam scheme, secured top ranks.

The scheme, launched by the Telangana Government to support hopefuls from marginalised communities, bore fruit in its very first year.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy congratulated the seven successful candidates who availed financial assistance under the scheme and cleared the examination. “It is a matter of great joy for us that these hopefuls have achieved success in their very first attempt under the state-backed initiative. I wish them the very best as they step into roles that contribute to nation-building,” he said, reaffirming the government’s commitment to empowering youth.

The selected candidates are Ettaboyina Sai Shivani, Hari Prasad Potharaju, Preethi Raparthi, Nagaraja Naik Banothu, Suryateja Thogaru, Anjaneyulu Gokamalla and Ramtenki Sudhaker.

Adding to the celebration, the RC Reddy Study Circle released a list of 26 rank-holders trained under its various programmes. Among the prominent achievers are Ravula Jayasimha Reddy (AIR 46), Saichaitanya Jadhav (AIR 68), Chakka Sneith (AIR 94), and Potharaju Hari Prasad (AIR 255), a double achiever who was also a beneficiary of the state scheme.

Simultaneously, the CSB IAS Academy announced that nine of its students had cleared the UPSC exam. Academy Director Balalatha felicitated the toppers, including Navin Edwin Anthony who secured AIR 15, and praised the students for their dedication and the faculty for their guidance.

“We are proud to contribute to the nation’s bureaucracy through consistent mentorship and quality training,” she said.

The CSB IAS Academy’s UPSC 2024 rankers are Rapolu Jaya Singh Reddy (AIR 46), Kolipaka Sreekrishna Sai (AIR 190) Manugani Pavan Kumar (AIR 375), Gubbala ERV Surya Teja (AIR 647), Aada Sandeep Kumar (AIR 667), Sangarapu Sai Bhardwaj (AIR 798), Toguru Surya Teja (AIR 799) and Rapolu Mohisin Mohsin (AIR 975)

The DGP, Dr Jitender, congratulated DSP A. Venugopal, whose son Annu Koushik Narasimha secured AIR 225. An alumnus of IIT Roorkee, Koushik’s success was described as an inspiration for many youth across the state.
