Vijay Deverakonda’s announcement of donating Rs 1 crore to 100 families of his fans in need was met with great appreciation. However, there was one incident that surprised many and created some negativity. Producer/distributor Abhishek Nama from Abhishek Pictures’ social media handle took to X and claimed some compensation for those who lost money distributing Vijay’s World Famous Lover.
The production and distribution company claimed that they also lost Rs 8 crore due to this movie, but no one responded to it. And now that Vijay is donating money, Abhishek Pictures has requested some attention for those who lost money on his film.
“Dear @TheDeverakonda ,We lost 8 CRs in the distribution of WorldFamousLover, but no one responded to it! Now that you are donating 1CR to the families with your big heart, I am kindly requesting and Hoping for you to save us and our Exhibitors and Distributors families as well,” read the tweet.
This remark was severely criticized by Vijay’s fans as well as other X users. Many claimed this was made in bad taste, and the only objective of this post was to tarnish Vijay’s image.
