The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has filed a petition before the ACB court seeking the custody of former Kaleshwaram Corporation Managing Director and Engineer-in-Chief Hariram for a week.
Hariram, who is currently lodged in the Chanchalguda Jail under judicial custody for 14 days, is facing serious allegations of amassing huge assets illegally. The ACB had earlier searched his residence and unearthed substantial properties.
During the raids, the ACB seized several crucial documents pertaining to disproportionate assets. Based on these findings, the ACB has now sought permission from the court to take Hariram into custody for interrogation.
Hariram, who served in a key post during the execution of the Kaleshwaram Project, is believed to have accumulated vast amounts of wealth beyond his known sources of income.
