‘Accept applications for regularisation of notary lands’

Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari held a video conference on Monday with Collectors and reviewed the progress of the Telangana ku Haritha Haaram, Sampada Vanaalu, the planting of one crore saplings, sheep distribution, financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh to minorities, Gruhalakshmi, Dalit Bandhu, compassionate appointments and regularisation of notary lands.

The Chief Secretary said that as per the directions of the Chief Minister GO: 84 was issued for the regularization of notary lands which people have been demanding for a long time.

As per the GO, plots of 125 square feet can be regularized free of cost, and plots measuring more than that can be regularized by paying only Rs 5 per sq. ft. in addition to stamp duty. She asked officials to sensitize people about this opportunity.

Collectors were directed to accept applications for this immediately. As per GO: 59, steps have been taken to deposit the fixed amount for regularization from those who have received notices.

The CS directed officials to complete the target set under Harita Haram in one and a half months. Along with the geo-tagging of all plants, measures should be taken to ensure that at least 85 per cent of the plants survive.

The specified objectives under Sampada Vanaalu should be achieved and fencing should be taken up and boards should be set up for them. She said that funds will be sanctioned from the Green Fund if required for the construction of protective walls for Sampada Vanaalu.

The CS said that as per the directions of the Chief Minister, it has been decided to plant one crore saplings during the culmination of Swathanthra Bharatha Vajrothsavaalu.

The selection of places for planting these saplings and the digging of trenches should be completed and the date of planting of the saplings will be announced soon.
