Hebah Patel is playing the female lead in the film Dhoom Dhaam opposite Chetan. Directed by Sai Kishore, the film is releasing on November 8. “Sai Rajesh told me that Gopi Mohan and Ramkumar are searching for a lead actress and he had suggested my name and asked me to go for it, in case I liked it,” said Hebah.
Later, both Gopi Mohan and Ram Kumar narrated the script to Hebah and she was in awe. “After doing many thriller and serious roles, this came as a refreshing change to me. It’s complete commercial entertainment and I am playing a glamorous role in it and it’s a very lighthearted one too,” she said about her role. The shooting took place in Poland for nearly a month. “It was like a picnic for us. There are many people who I worked with earlier, like cinematographers, choreographers and so many. I play the role of Suhana; interestingly, the director’s daughter’s name is also the same, so he wanted to add the name to my role. I play a rich, spoiled girl who goes on a vacation to Europe and meets the protagonist there,” she said about the story. The team had travelled to Poland during the beginning of the winter. “I had to wear mostly wear sarees, which I felt to be slightly tough there,” she said. The actress didn’t have many scenes with other actors; the reason being she comes from a really small family in the film. Because her family is very small in the film. “The protagonist’s family is very big,” she said. She added that she follows the director for this film to play her character. Dhoom Dhaam is a complete entertainer with many hilarious scenes. “It is very tough to do a comedy scene rather than a glamorous or romantic scene. Because when I do a comedy scene, people should laugh; otherwise, I didn’t do well, so doing comedy is tough,” said Hebah Patel.
The actress said that the film is an easygoing one. “The director made us do our work in a more comfortable way. There were no tough scenes and it is really a cakewalk for me. The director is a fun person and it is easy to work with him and he makes you comfortable on the sets,” said Hebah. Talking about her co-actor Chetan, she said, “I am very hyperactive and he is completely opposite to me; he is very calm and focused on work. I want to be like that after seeing him,” she said. The actress said that she doesn’t have any regrets till now. “I am happy where I am now. It is not like that I am not getting work; I was busy with work,” she said. She added that she did a web series, OTT film, or a feature film. “Facing the camera is difficult for me. Whether it’s an OTT, feature film, special song, or a web series or if it is a photo shoot, I get myself in front of the camera and always feel high,” she said.
The actress said that she has done so many content driven roles in the recent times. “After a long time, I have ventured into commercial space with this film. I am expecting that everyone likes me in this glamorous role,” she said. For another question she said that she is single and not in a relationship. “I have to like a person and then get into a relationship with him, after that I then prepare for a marriage. I am hyperactive and talkative, so the person should be calm and composed, I am looking for a person like that, till then I want to be single,” said about her marriage proposal.
Hebha Patel is very active on social media, but after some negative comments, she took a decision. “I used to read the comments, but there are negative comments which make me feel sad. So, from then onwards I decided not to read comments or never look at likes. I used my Instagram page as a photo album, where I like some photos which I wanted to post like an album,” she said. The actress is busy with work with her upcoming films. “I am playing an extended cameo in Odela 2, signed a horror film with Srinivas Raga, another film is also there and a Tamil film is releasing,” she said about her future projects.
