A final-year BBA student, Nandini’s journey from TSWRS Junior College in Narsingi to international acclaim is rooted in years of rigorous training. Her transformation was steered by the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGSWREIS) through long-term athletics coaching camps. The partnership forged with ace badminton coach Pullela Gopichand enabled systematic mentoring under Dronacharya awardee N Ramesh, while international coaches like Saji and Nagaraju supervised her training at the Gachibowli stadium.
The cumulative score earned her the gold medal, making her the pride of India and an icon for the underprivileged and backward communities.
TGSWREIS Secretary Dr. V.S. Alugu Varshini praised Nandini’s achievement, calling her “an inspiration to every TGSWREIS student.” She said, “Nandini’s feat reaffirms our vision that with structured training and opportunity, our students can compete at the highest level.” She expressed gratitude to coaches Saji and Nagaraju and reiterated the society’s commitment to nurturing many more talents like Nandini.
Nandini’s triumph not only adds a golden feather to Telangana’s sports achievements but also symbolizes hope and possibility for thousands of young athletes across the State.
