Ahead of elections Politicians queuing up for foreign trips

MLC Kavitha to visit New Zealand and Australia

Looking for a quick break before elections, politicians are queuing up for foreign trips. At least a dozen ruling and opposition leaders have travelled abroad in the last couple of months.

Ministers KT Rama Rao, Srinivas Goud, Gangula Kamalakar and Harish Rao have gone abroad for various reasons. While some went seeking investments, some went for their kin’s graduation and others to study projects.

Now MLC Kavitha will attend the Bonalu festival in Australia and New Zealand. From July 15, she will be in Brisbane and on July 16 in Auckland. Kavitha will attend Bonalu celebrations in Australia and New Zealand.

Minister Erabelli Dayakar Rao was in the US for TANA celebrations. Opposition leaders Revanth Reddy and Kishan Reddy have also gone on foreign trips.

While Revanth returned from the TANA meeting on Thursday, Kishan left for the US to attend UNWTO meetings. Kishan’s speech at the United Nations High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) in New York is scheduled for Friday. He will be the first Indian Tourism Minister to address the HLPF. From there he will go to London.

B. Vinod Kumar also travelled along with Srinivas Goud and Kamalakar to South Korea and Singapore.

It may be mentioned here that Minister KT Rama Rao completed his foreign trip in May and bagged investments creating 42,000 jobs.

On Thursday, Modi met Gerard Larcher, the President of the French Senate in Paris. Modi is on a two-day visit to France and will attend the Bastille Day parade in Paris on Friday as the guest of honour.
