Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is set to visit Delhi on Friday to hold crucial discussions with AICC leaders regarding the MLC elections under the MLA quota. The visit is expected to bring clarity on candidate selection within the next two to three days.
During his stay in Delhi, the Chief Minister will engage in consultations with party leaders on finalizing the names of MLC candidates. Sources indicate that Revanth Reddy will submit a report to the AICC leadership, outlining the political considerations and preferences for the MLC polls.
Among the aspirants are Md Azharuddin, Vem Narender Reddy, Shabbir Ali, Madhu Yashki Goud, Jagga Reddy, Anjan Kumar Yadav, Sama Ram Mohan Reddy, Mahesh Konagala, Charan Kaushik Yadav, Jeevan Reddy, Addanki Dayakar, Sampath Kumar, Sunita Rao among others
The Congress high command is likely to take a final call after reviewing the recommendations, with an official announcement expected soon. The CM is scheduled to stay in Delhi for the next two days, holding a series of meetings with senior leaders before returning to Hyderabad.
