Shadnagar MLA Veerlapalli Shankar has urged people in the constituency to lend their support in the development of Shadnagar town, keeping the interests of future generations in mind.
During an all-party meeting held at the MLA’s camp office on Monday, leaders from various political parties discussed the construction of a 100-foot circle at the town’s main intersection.
Shankar emphasised the importance of establishing a circle to accommodate the town’s growing population. He noted that discussions with Road and Buildigns and Panchayat Raj officials were held to facilitate the expansion. He stressed the need for community and business support in these efforts, highlighting that road widening projects are currently underway to alleviate traffic congestion. He assured that efforts would be made to compensate those affected by the construction, and a discussion with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is planned to address these concerns.
Former MLA Bakkani Narasimhulu highlighted the necessity of convincing all parties to work together for the town’s development. He acknowledged that some sacrifices might be required but emphasised that following government rules and laws is essential. Narasimhulu also mentioned the need to explain compensation possibilities clearly to ensure smooth progress.
Former MLA Pratap Reddy argued that developmental projects should not be hindered. He called for community support and adherence to planning measures to ensure successful execution of these projects. Pratap Reddy urged local authorities and the MLA to oversee these developments closely.
Nelli Srivardhan Reddy, a member of the state executive committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party, urged MLA Shankar to present the collective views of all parties to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He emphasised the importance of public awareness regarding compensation for any damages caused by development works and assured his ongoing support for these initiatives.
Municipal Chairman K Narender promised to extend all support for the development of four-way roads in the town square.
CPM leader N Raju stressed the importance of planning and implementing developmental projects that are acceptable to all communities. He called for the establishment of Dr BR Ambedkar’s statue in the center of the new circle, naming it Ambedkar Square. Raju assured that the CPM party would fully cooperate in these development efforts.
The meeting saw participation from Town CI Vijay Kumar, Traffic CI Chandrasekhar, Former ZPTC Shyamsunder Reddy, R&B DE Ravinder, councilors, and leaders from various political parties, including the Congress, BJP, BRS, and BSP.
