Elaborate arrangements have been made for the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the city on Wednesday. Modi is scheduled to lead a roadshow along Mahatma Gandhi Road (MG Road).
The NTR district administration, in collaboration with the Police department, has meticulously made all arrangements for this event.
As part of his electoral outreach, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in a roadshow in Vijayawada.
To ensure the smooth conduct of the event, the Police department has taken comprehensive measures, including traffic diversions in Vijayawada on Wednesday evening.
The PM Modi roadshow is slated to commence from IGMC Stadium and traverse through to Benz Circle between 6 pm and 8 pm.
To facilitate this, authorities have cordoned off MG Road with barricades.
In anticipation of the event, NTR Police Commissioner PHD Ramakrishna personally reviewed the city’s arrangements. He convened a meeting with all police officials at the Andhra Loyola College Auditorium on Tuesday to ensure seamless coordination.
Police Commissioner Ramakrishna announced the deployment of approximately 5,000 police personnel to safeguard Modi’s roadshow in Vijayawada. He further stated that the stretch from Gannavaram International Airport to Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium has been designated as a Red Zone, thereby rendering it a no-fly zone.
