Not long ago, an event was organised by producer Allu Aravind to reveal the release date of his upcoming movie Thandel, which is set to hit the theatres on February 7, 2025. Chandoo Mondeti is the director of this film starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi as the lead pair. The movie is being made under Allu Aravind’s Geetha Arts banner with Bunny Vasu, who is associated with the banner, serving as the producer for the film. During the event, Bunny Vas confidently declared that this film is aiming to reach Rs 100 crore for Naga Chaitanya and they are working towards that goal.
According to a report, the success of this film is heavily reliant on Sai Pallavi rather than Naga Chaitanya, as per Allu Aravind’s strategy. That’s the reason they declared that this movie has surely joined the Rs 100 crore club. Sai Pallavi’s latest film Amaran once again solidified her status as a major superstar in the southern film industry. The movie is produced in Tamil but it is also simultaneously released in Telugu. The collections of the Telugu dubbed version outperformed those of a usual Telugu movie and was a massive success in the Telugu industry. The film continues to perform well at the box office, with trade analysts attributing its success solely to Sai Pallavi.
After witnessing the success of the Amaran collections on its launch day, Allu Aravind and Bunny Vas have faith that the film Thandel will also achieve strong box office numbers due to Sai Pallavi. The movie was initially set to be released in December and then during Sankranthi, but it is now scheduled to be released alone on February 7.
“They are banking on Sai Pallavi for this film and that’s why they announced it will give the first Rs 100 crore film for Naga Chaitanya,” said a source.
