Minister for Information & Public Relations and Housing, Kolusu Parthasarathi, on Saturday said the relaunch of Amaravati as Andhra Pradesh’s capital was a grand success, evoking joy across the state.
At a press conference, he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s description of Amaravati as the “City of Gods” underlined its importance. Taking a swipe at political opponents, he remarked, “Where there are gods, demons too exist.”
He said the Telugu people stood firmly behind Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, whose vision was to make Amaravati a global hub for AI, IT and quantum computing, while creating 20 lakh jobs and encouraging entrepreneurship in every household.
He accused the previous YSRCP government of neglecting Amaravati and skipping the relaunch. He added that Modi’s praise of Naidu reaffirmed public trust in the leadership of Modi, Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan.
Parthasarathi said the Polavaram and Banakacharla projects would ensure irrigation for every acre. On the fire incident near the venue, he said an investigation was underway.
“All doubts about Amaravati’s future have been cleared,” he concluded.
