Ruling party MLA TJR Sudhakar Babu has said that TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu should explain why SC, ST, BC and minorities are not entitled to live in Amaravati and why he is creating hurdles to the distribution of house sites there.
The MLA asserted that Visakhapatnam would be transformed as the Executive Capital while Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy adhered to continue Amaravati as the Legislative Capital to do justice to the farmers. Kurnool will be developed as the Judiciary Capital.
Addressing the media persons here on Wednesday, the MLA alleged that Chandrababu had a sense of untouchability hence he was still spilling poison on Dalits. He said that on behalf of YSRCP, he condemned the way the TDP and its affiliates went to the Supreme Court against the verdict given by the High Court on the issue of providing houses to the poor in the capital city of Amaravati. These forces led by Naidu were trying to stop Chief Minister YS Jagan from creating a nest for over 50,000 poor people. The description by Naidu and his supporters of Amaravati as a gated community area, where only a few people live, is perverse politics. Nara Chandrababu has made it an empire where only those related to him should stay, he added.
He alleged that Chandrababu was against the SC, ST, BC and minority castes with his natural untouchability ideology. He claimed that since the YSRC government was fully supporting the SC, ST, BC, minority and poor communities, Chandrababu and his supporters were not able to tolerate it. He alleged that in 76 years of independent India, even in the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the downtrodden sections were not getting Amrit. “But wicked political leaders like Chandrababu were still spilling venom on us and we think that Chandrababu still wants to keep us as an untouchable race. In the vast area of 50,000 acres in Amaravati, if 50,000 poor people were given half a cent of land, why did you get so angry,” he asked Chandrababu.
MLA Sudhakar Babu said that even the communist parties who had fought for a cent of land for the poor were now supporting Chandrababu, which was sad. The YSRC MLA refuted allegations of AP turning bankrupt and said that CM Jagan credited Rs. 2.08 lakh crores directly into the accounts of the beneficiaries through DBT, which was the best example of good administration of the YSRC government.
