Telangana Police is the best in the country: Mahmood Ali

Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali said that the state government has given priority to the modernisation of the police department.

The minister attended a medal distribution programme at Ravindra Bharathi along with Director General of Police Anjani Kumar and Hyderavad Commissioner of Police CV Anand. A total of 281 police officers were awarded various service medals on Wednesday. The medals were announced by the Central and State governments to police officers who have shown the best performance in their duties.

The Home Minister stated that if the peace and security situation is better, development and welfare programmes will be properly implemented and the state will progress towards development.  He said, “The Telangana Police has become the most efficient police department in the country by implementing friendly policing, women security department, She Teams, Bharosa Kendras, establishment of CCTVs, closure of matka-gambling centres, prevention of narcotics, and other such initiatives.”

Further, “The police department has established new police zones, police divisions, police stations, and the Narcotics Control Department. The command control tower with the most advanced technology has also been started. Due to the peaceful conditions in the state, many multinational companies have started their activities in Hyderabad,” he added.

Additional DG Abhilash Bist welcomed the dignitaries and senior police officers who attended the programme. Recipients of the medals include DGP Anjani Kumar, Telangana Police Housing Corporation MD Rajeev Ratan, Hyderabad CP CV Anand, along with 26 police officers, including VB Kamalasan Reddy, received Ati Utkrisht Seva Medal. In all, 28 police officers, including IG Tarun Joshi, Joint Commissioner Cyberabad, DIG Avinash Mohanty, were among those who received the Utkrisht Seva Medals -2022.

The police department is a major part of economic development, said DGP Anjani Kumar. He called upon the police officers to work with more dedication and said that these medals are a recognition of the best services rendered by the policemen who have been constantly performing their duties in the public service 24/7.

Among these awards given by the Home Minister are Ati Utkrit Seva Medals-2022 to 30 police officers, Utkrit Seva Medals-2022 to 28 persons, Asadharan Aasuchana Kushalata Padak to seven persons, Central Home Minister Medals to eight persons for best performance in investigation, in training, Central Home Minister Medals to 12 persons, Shaurya Pathak – 2022 to 11 persons, and Mahonnatha Seva Medal – 2022 to seven police officers who have shown the best performance.
