Amarnath rebuts Pawan’s charges against Jagan govt

In a strong rebuttal to recent comments by Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, State Industries Minister Gudivada Amarnath has dismissed the allegations and defended the YSRCP government’s performance.At a media conference here on Friday, Minister Amarnath dismissed Pawan Kalyan’s charges, stating that the Jana Sena chief seemed to have lost perspective, possibly influenced by the BJP’s results in Telangana. He questioned Pawan Kalyan’s understanding of Andhra Pradesh’s political landscape, emphasising that Pawan Kalyan’s permanent residence in Hyderabad raises doubts about his commitment to the State.
Refuting Pawan Kalyan’s claims of halting the privatisation of the steel plant, Amarnath challenged the basis of such statements, highlighting that the Centre has not officially announced any cessation of privatisation. He also expressed disappointment in Pawan Kalyan’s lack of awareness about the ongoing agitation by steel trade unions.
Minister Amarnath predicted a repeat of the Telangana election results for any party supported by Pawan Kalyan in the upcoming Andhra Pradesh elections. He asserted that both Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu Naidu would face political setbacks. Responding to Pawan Kalyan’s mention of the Uddanam issue, Minister Amarnath defended the Jagan Mohan Reddy government’s efforts to address kidney problems in the region, emphasising that previous administrations, including Chandrababu’s, failed to solve the problem between 2014-2019. Amarnath rejected Pawan Kalyan’s claims of bringing about changes in the State after the next elections, pointing out Chandrababu’s unfulfilled promises during his 14-year tenure as Chief Minister.

He highlighted the successful implementation of welfare programmes by the YSRCP government, emphasising that such programmes were unmatched in any other state.
In response to Nadendla Manohar’s statement on Infosys in Visakhapatnam, Minister Amarnath stated that if proven to be just a satellite centre, he would resign.
Amarnath urged people to consider the YSRCP government’s achievements.
