Must read

Setting an example for other party leaders, Gudivada Amarnath, the candidate for the Gajuwaka Assembly constituency for 2024, for the first time unveiled a vision-oriented manifesto aimed at understanding Gajuwaka’s evolving needs and challenges. The manifesto outlines a visionary roadmap for the constituency’s future with a focus on industrial development, environmental sustainability, youth empowerment, and infrastructure enhancement.
Addressing the media people during the launch of the manifesto on Thursday, Amarnath outlined the careful process behind the finalisation of the manifesto, which involved extensive consultations with local residents over the past three months. He highlighted the inclusive nature of the manifesto, designed to promote the prosperity and well-being of all segments of society within the constituency. Acknowledging Gajuwaka’s transition from an agricultural to an industrial hub, Amarnath expressed concerns over rising pollution levels impacting public health and economic prospects. He underscored his commitment to attracting eco-friendly industries while preserving the area’s economic vibrancy.
Central to the Gajuwaka 3.0 manifesto is the promise of skill development initiatives tailored to match local talent with industry demands. Amarnath pledged to establish vocational, degree, and polytechnic colleges, alongside coaching centres and digital libraries, to nurture educational excellence and entrepreneurship. Moreover, Amarnath aims to strengthen the local economy by supporting MSMEs and small businesses through an incubation program, while also promoting indigenous products. His vision includes the establishment of centres of excellence for digital media studios, clean manufacturing units, e-waste recycling, and biodegradable packaging to foster a sustainable circular economy.
Addressing pressing civic issues, Amarnath vowed to conduct a comprehensive audit of sanitation, street lighting, and road infrastructure within three months of assuming office. He also pledged to construct community halls, install CCTV surveillance for crime control, and revitalize local markets. In a bid to alleviate traffic congestion, Amarnath proposed the construction of flyovers and the initiation of metro rail projects. Additionally, plans for a multi-level car park and modernization of markets aim to enhance urban livability and commerce.
Beyond infrastructure, the manifesto champions cultural enrichment, promising annual festivals and support for local sports personalities. Amarnath also affirmed his commitment to environmental stewardship, outlining plans for tourist development in Yarada Beach into a leisure hub and addressing pollution concerns at the Gangavaram port. Notably, Amarnath’s manifesto aligns with the broader ideological stance of the YSR Congress Party, particularly its opposition to the privatization of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. He assured constituents of unwavering advocacy on this issue and reiterated the party’s steadfast commitment to public welfare over corporate interests.   Amarnath’s visionary manifesto sets a high standard for political leadership, reflecting a commitment to holistic development and inclusive progress within the Gajuwaka Assembly constituency. As the election approaches, his proposals offer a roadmap for a brighter future for the region’s residents.
