Amrabad Tiger Reserve will increase the number of Saucer pits for creating vital water sources for wild animals and birds during Summer.
Swetha, an official of Amrabad Tiger Reserve, said, “In Amrabad Tiger Reserve, over 200 + saucer pits are there. Every year we increase the number of saucer pits and small dams to create drinking water facilities for wild animals and birds. Currently, the number is not yet decided. As per the requirement of drinking facilities, the saucer pits will be increased. “
She also said that during summer, small ponds and lakes get dried up and to create water facilities for wild animals and birds, saucer pits are built. These pits are made up of cement.
