Anganwadi workers on Tuesday protested in front of the District Collectorate here demanding the government to withdraw the decision to install CCTV cameras and introduction of biometric system of marking attendance and solution to their problems.
Anganwadi workers demanded the state government to increase their salary to Rs 26000 a month in tune with the growing inflation. They also sought benefits of the ESI and Provident Fund.
They also sought tabs to the anganwadi staff as the mobiles given to them in the past went out of order.
The Anganwadi workers also demand the government to declare the women who have crossed the age of superannuation as retired and sanction pension to them.
