Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau Anjani Kumar, IPS (1990), has been made officiating Director General of Police, as current Director General of Police M. Mahendar Reddy, IPS, is retiring on Saturday.
Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar issued orders to this effect on Thursday, along with orders relating to transfers and postings of five other IPS officers.
Ravi Gupta, IPS (1990), Principal Secretary of Home Department, has been transferred and posted as Director General, Anti-Corruption Bureau and is also placed in full additional charge of the post of Director General (V&E), General Administration Department.
Dr Jitender, IPS (1992), Additional Director General of Police (L&O), has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Home Department in place of Ravi Gupta, IPS, who has been transferred. The member of service is also placed in full additional charge of the post of Director General of Prisons & Correctional Services. Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat, IPS (1995), Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda Commissionerate, has been transferred and posted as Additional Director General of Police, CID, Telangana in existing vacancy.
Devendra Singh Chauhan, IPS (1997), Additional Commissioner of Police (L&O), Hyderabad City, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda Commissionerate.
Sanjay Kumar Jain, IPS (1997), Additional Director General of Police (P&L), is transferred and posted as Additional Director General of Police (L&O), Hyderabad in place of Dr Jitender, IPS, who has been transferred. The member of service is also placed in full additional charge of the post of Director General, Telangana State Disaster Response & Fire Services, until further orders.
