The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, has approved the State’s 2024-25 annual Budget. Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav presented the Budget, which has an outlay of Rs 2,94,427 crore. The Budget aims to revitalise key sectors, address past financial mismanagement, and provide welfare for marginalised communities, setting a course for growth and stability in the State.
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Naidu paid tribute to the statue of former chief minister NT Rama Rao (NTR) in Venkatapalem. Several ministers, including Nara Lokesh, P. Narayana, K. Parthasarathi, Kondapalli Srinivas, and S. Savita, along with TDP MLAs and MLCs, also offered their respects. During the event, Minister Nara Lokesh extended a warm greeting to farmers from the capital region, recognising their crucial role in the Amaravati movement.
TDP leaders have expressed confidence that the Budget will prioritise fulfilling the commitments made under the ‘Super Six’ promises, ensuring significant benefits for the people of Andhra Pradesh. The ongoing budget session is expected to address key developmental initiatives and financial allocations for the upcoming fiscal year.
