AP girls’ team reaches Sepak Takraw national finals

The host team from Andhra Pradesh has made it to the finals in the girls’ category of the School Games Sepak Takraw National Tournament for under-14 boys and girls, currently being held at the Koneru Basavaiah Chowdary Zilla Parishad High School in Patamata, Vijayawada.
In the girls’ semi-finals on Sunday, the Andhra Pradesh team delivered an outstanding performance, defeating Delhi with commanding scores of 15-2 and 15-3, securing their place in the final and guaranteeing at least a silver medal. However, in the boys’ quarter-finals, the Andhra Pradesh team fell short, losing to Delhi and missing out on a medal opportunity.
The boys’ category also saw some intense matches, with Bihar defeating Delhi 15-10 and 15-11 to secure a spot in the final. In the second semi-final, Manipur triumphed over Gujarat with scores of 15-10 and 15-7, advancing to the finals. The boys’ final, where Bihar will face Manipur, is scheduled for Monday, promising an exciting conclusion to the tournament.
