BV Rao, State Nodal Officer, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), has said that Andhra Pradesh has been implementing ABDM and the progress so far is good. He said ABDM is aimed at digitising health records across all health institutions in the State. The State has embraced e-hospital and next-gen e-hospital for electronic Health Records (eHR), he said.
A two-day training programme organised in this regard began at Haailand on Monday, with an ABDM overview by BV Rao. He said that to further propel eHR initiatives at the grassroots-level, the State Mission Director has directed the coordination of a District Masters Training (ToT) programme. This initiative, conducted in collaboration with the NIC team, targets medical officers, nurses, pharmacists, and lab technicians associated with the Director of Secondary Services (DSH) from all districts.
The subsequent sessions were led by PO Dr Naresh and other NIC rollout managers. Notable participants included Dr Dumpala Venkata Ravi Kiran, NHM State Programme Manager, Director of Secondary Health ABDM Nodal Officer Nagalaxmi, and project coordinators from ABDM.
The training sessions, aimed at providing hands-on training to ground-level health functionaries, will continue on Tuesday.
The objective is to equip participants with the necessary skills for the effective implementation of electronic health records.
Moreover, District Master Trainers will play a pivotal role in cascading this knowledge to their respective districts.
