A high-level delegation from the Government of Andhra Pradesh, led by Katamneni Bhaskar, Secretary of Information Technology, visited Foxconn’s headquarters in Taipei to deepen bilateral cooperation and explore new opportunities in high-tech manufacturing.
The discussions with Foxconn’s senior leadership centred on establishing a long-term strategic partnership to drive innovation-led industrial growth.
Andhra Pradesh officials highlighted the state’s strong infrastructure, investor-friendly policies, and its goal to become a leading hub for electronics and semiconductor industries in India.
During the talks, the delegation outlined Andhra Pradesh’s comprehensive vision to attract and support global technology leaders, positioning the state as a key player in India’s ambition to become a global centre for innovation and manufacturing. The meeting emphasised shared interests in advancing smart manufacturing, semiconductor production, and supply chain integration.
“This visit marks an important step in strengthening our engagement with global industry leaders such as Foxconn. Andhra Pradesh is committed to creating an enabling environment for technology-driven growth,” said Katamneni Bhaskar.
The dialogue reaffirmed the mutual commitment between Foxconn and Andhra Pradesh to collaborate on impactful projects aligned with national initiatives like Make in India and Digital India. The meeting also highlighted the state’s readiness to support global firms through streamlined approvals, world-class infrastructure, and skilled human resources.
