In a setback to TDP leader and former minister P Narayana in the Class 10 question paper leak case, the Apex court dismissed the petition filed by Narayana on Monday. The Supreme Court upheld the Andhra Pradesh High Court order. A deadline of four weeks has been set for this. The police were told not to take any strict action against Narayana until this revision is resolved. Judge Justice Rao Raghunandan Rao gave orders to this effect.

It may be recalled that the High Court rejected the argument of P Narayana, that the revision petition filed by the police in the Sessions Court challenging the order granted to him by the magistrate in Class 10 question paper leakage case has no merit.
The High Court has clarified that it is proper for the police to file a revision petition before the Sessions Court and the petition is admissible.

However, the High Court quashed the order given by the Sessions Court cancelling the bail granted to Narayana by the Magistrate. The High Court stated that the Sessions Court cancelled the remand order given by the Magistrate’s Court without going into the precedents of the case and ordered the Sessions Court to re-examine all the precedents of the case and issue a decision based on them.
