Appointment orders to JPS who scored 70% marks

Telangana government directed all the District Collectors to issue appointment orders to the Junior Panchayat Secretaries who have scored 70% and above marks in the evaluation done by the District-Level Performance Evaluation Committee.

As per the orders issued by Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Principal Secretary, the appointment orders shall be issued only to those Junior Panchayat Secretaries who are selected and appointed through the Direct Recruitment Notification and who show satisfactory performance by scoring 70% and above marks and complete four years of continuous service. Telangana government accorded permission to fill up posts of 9,355 Junior Panchayat Secretaries. Direct Recruitment Notification was issued for recruitment of 9,355 Junior Panchayat Secretaries with an agreement period of three years. Government has issued orders extending the agreement period of Junior Panchayat Secretaries from three years to four years.

The government has constituted District-Level Performance Evaluation Committee and issued guidelines for the purpose of assessment of performance of the Junior Panchayat Secretaries who complete four years of continuous service.

The District-0Level Performance Evaluation Committee is evaluating the performance of the Junior Panchayat Secretaries who complete four years of continuous service in the district and submitting reports to the District Collector. The government has decided that the Junior Panchayat Secretaries who have scored 70% and above marks in the evaluation done by the District Level Performance Evaluation Committee be appointed to the category of Panchayat Secretary Grade IV in terms of Telangana Panchayat Raj Subordinate Service Rules, 2010 issued vide G.O.Ms.No.84 PR&RD (Mdl.II) Department, dated 24.02.2010 as amended from time to time.

In respect of the Junior Panchayat Secretaries who could not score 70% of marks, their performance may be observed for a further period of six months and their evaluation may be undertaken after six months. If their performance is found to be satisfactory at that time, further necessary action may be taken accordingly. The instructions issued by the Government regarding entering the evaluation data in the Mobile App provided by the Commissioner, Panchayat Raj & Rural Employment, duly uploading scanned copies of the performance evaluation reports in the login provided to the Additional Collector (Local Bodies) shall be followed. The appointment orders issued shall also be uploaded in the same Mobile App.
