APSRTC employees to get higher pensions

APSRTC Managing Director Ch Dwaraka Tirumala Rao has said that employees of the corporation will get higher pension allotment papers shortly, as the Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has agreed to enhance from lower pensions to higher pensions. After enhancing pensions, every RTC employee will get five to six times increased pensions as per their eligibility, he said.

In a programme held at the RTC headquarters, MD Dwaraka Tirumala Rao handed over the higher pension certificate of Rs.25,000 to Junior Assistant (Finance) G Satyanarayana on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Dwaraka Tirumala Rao said that as per the new higher pension scheme, RTC employees’ current pensions will increase from Rs.5,000 to Rs.15,000 and Rs.25,000. Within a short span, RTC employees will get higher pension certificates, he added.

Further, he said that as of now employees were getting up to Rs.5,000 as pension, however, it was not sufficient to meet their necessities.

APSRTC Executive Director (Admin) KS Brahmananda Reddy, AO Raghava Reddy, APSRTC PF Trust secretary Aruna and others were present.
