Arrangements for ‘Jayaho BC’ going on in full swing

YSRCP national general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP V Vijayasai Reddy, along with Ministers Botsa Satyanarayana, Karumuri Nageswara Rao and others, inspected the arrangements for ‘Jayaho BC’ Maha Sabha at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation stadium on Monday.

On the occasion, the MP said that YSRC was organising ‘Jayaho BC Maha Sabha’ for self-respect and social justice to the weaker sections who are the backbone of the government. As part of the Maha Sabha, BC leaders right from the Village Sarpanch to the Minister level and representatives of BCs will take part in the programme in order to bring their problems faced by the BCs to the notice of the government.

He said that everyone is eagerly waiting to hear the message of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Initially, from 10 am to 12 pm, the BC leaders will speak about various issues and later Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy will address BCs till 1 pm.

The MP said that all arrangements are being made for breakfast and lunch here without any inconvenience to the invitees coming to the programme. “We are arranging food and drinking water facilities for the BC brothers and sisters who come in buses from distant places without any trouble.Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy stood by the BCs in a manner that no Chief Minister had ever done before.

Through DBT, the government had given more than any government in the past. It is the aim and ambition of the Chief Minister that BCs should be on par with other social groups.After this meeting, similar to the meeting of BCs, SC, ST and Minority Mahasabha will be held in the coming days. “After the Maha Sabha, we will organise meetings of the respective social groups at the zonal, district and constituency levels as well.”

Vijayasai Reddy said that Chandrababu Naidu did nothing for BCs during his 14 years as Chief Minister. Within three-and-a-half years of the YSRC government, BCs have benefited in every way. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has the honour of implementing all the promises contained in the BC Declaration. Minister Botsa Satyanarayana said that according to the idea of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, today his son YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is ensuring that there should be an educated person in the poor and weaker sections as well. As part of it, 80 per cent of BCs today are taking advantage of welfare schemes.

Through DBT, Rs 1.79 lakh crore is being distributed, more than Rs 80,000 crore have been received by BCs. On the other hand, the BCs received Rs 1. 65 lakh crore through DBT-non-DBT schemes, said the minister and added that the weaker sections are the backbone of YSRC.

Deputy CM Boodi Muthyalanaidu, Minister Karumuri Venkata Nageswara Rao, State President of BC Division, MLC Janga Krishnamurthy, MLCs Lella Appireddy, Potula Sunitha, Adviser of Education Department Aluri Sambasivarao, Coordinator of Workers Putta Pratap Reddy, Chairman of Navaratna Committee YS A Murthy, leader of the handloom department Ganji Chiranjeevi and others were present.
