At 30degree, Hyd recorded warmest night

Hyderabad has recorded warmest night on Friday night this year with minimum temparature dropped below 30°C in a few parts.

Areas such as Karwan, Uppal, Khairatabad, Kapra and Yousufguda experienced such temperatures. Similar situation was witnessed in parts of Telangana too. Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad city recorded a whooping 42.4°C, which is the highest maximum temparature in the month of June since 2019 and second highest maximum temparature since 2015.

According to weather expert T Balaji, “Coincidentally, June 3, 2019 temparature was 42.7°C, which was the highest in that year and again it’s June 3, 2023 with 42.4°C, highest this year. Its June 3 , 2023 also exactly same. At 47°C in Rural Telangana and 42-43°C in Hyderabad.”

He said that coming days, we will have scattered storms, but it’s a double-edged sword kind of situation as it can bring some rains, but also increase the highly irritating humid heat which is worse than current the heat wave.

Summer has been weird with massive unseasonal rains, record cold in March, April and massive May and June heat.

As per TSDPS, “Maximum temperatures are expected to be in the range of 39o to 45oC, while the minimum temperatures will be in the range of 26o to 29oC in Telangana.
