Cyberabad Commissioner of Police M Stephen Raveendra on Thursday said that the commissionerate has earned Rs 6 crore by auctioning 9,627 abandoned vehicles.
He further informed that these vehicles were auctioned in 10 phases. “Eight proclamation notices have been released with regards to 4,702 abandoned and unclaimed vehicles within the jurisdiction of the Commissionerate,” he added.
He said that over 6,000 abandoned vehicles placed in traffic and law & order police stations will be auctioned soon. All the details related to the vehicles are included in the website. Owners who have objections are advised to contact the concerned police station authorities with the documents related to the vehicles within six months.
