Minister for Municipal Administration Audimulapu Suresh’s mother Therasamma died at a private hospital in Hyderabad on Monday. She was 85.
She had been ailing for the last few days and underwent treatment at a private hospital. Theresamma was the chairperson of the George Educational Institutions. Therasamma’s second son Dr. Satish is the Secretary to the George Educational Institutions.
Theresamma’s husband Dr. Samuel George established the George Educational Institutions. He established the first engineering college at Markapuram in Prakasam district. Theresamma worked as headmistress of a ZP Girls’ High School. After the death of her husband George, she had managed the educational institutions.
District Collector AS Dinesh Kumar, SP Malika Garg, MLA Balineni Srinivasa Rao, MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, former minister Sidda Raghava Rao, YSRCP district president Janke Venkata Reddy and a host of MLAs and other leaders paid homage to Theresamma and consoled the bereaved family.
