Responding to the summons issued by the CBI to attend before them in connection with the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case investigation, YSRCP MP YS Avinash Reddy has said that he asked the CBI for five days’ time as he is caught in the middle of pre-arranged programmes.

Talking to the media here on Tuesday, he said that the CBI had given him a notice to his PA on Monday evening to attend before the CBI officials on Tuesday.

The MP said that he told the CBI that he could not appear before the CBI officials on Tuesday as he had to attend pre-arranged programmes. He said that he told the CBI that he is ready to attend before them any time after five days and answer their questions.

“A section of the media has launched a malicious campaign against me and my family tarnishing my image. They are resorting to character assassination. I have never made any objectionable comments in this case. People of the district know what I am and my style of functioning,” YS Avinash Reddy said.

“I appeal to the media to act responsibly,” he stated.
