Balineni launches works of Ongole-Kothapatnam road

MLA and former minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy has formally launched the construction works of Ongole-Kothapatnam road by unveiling the plaque.
The Ongole-Kothapatnam road construction will be taken up at a cost of Rs 2.75 crore. Speaking on the occasion, Balineni Srinivasa Reddy said that the road construction works would begin immediately and would be completed at the earliest.
He said that steps were taken to reconstruct the damaged Kothapatnam-Pallipalem road and to complete the Buckingham canal bridge works by one month. He denied the claim of a former MLA that 80% of Buckingham canal bridge works had been completed during their regime and made it clear that only 44% of works had been completed by spending  Rs 8 crore.
He said that Rs 9 crore worth works have been carried out during his tenure as MLA. The bridge works had to be completed by 2018 but could not and that is why the Centre had stopped releasing funds for bridge works, he stated.
Balineni Srinivasa Reddy announced that he would review the problems prevailing in Kottapatnam in the presence of officials and take steps to resolve them. He said that he would visit all villages to know the local problems and take steps to resolve them.
