Could not attend ZP meeting due to DAAB meeting: DC

Eluru district Collector V Prasanna Venkatesh clarified that he could not attend the combined Krishna district Zilla Parishat meeting on Tuesday as the district Irrigation Advisory and District Agriculture Advisory board meeting was held on the same day.
In a statement here on Wednesday, Collector Prasanna Venkatesh said that the District Irrigation Advisory and Agriculture Advisory Board meeting was held presided over by district in-charge minister Pinepe Viswaroop on November 14. This was informed to the Krishna district ZP CEO through the Krishna district Collector, Collector said.
The Collector made it clear that prior information was given to the Krishna ZP officials on which officers would attend the ZP meeting and which officers would not.
Collector Prasanna Venkatesh personally conveyed over phone his inability to attend the ZP meeting to Krishna district ZP chairperson Uppala Harika, MLAs Dulam Nageswara Rao, Meka Venkata Pratap Appa Rao.
The same was informed to MLA and former minister Perni Venkatramaiah through Krishna district Collector. However, except five officials, the other officials including Joint Collector, Nuzvid Sub-collector, assistant trainee Collector attended the ZP meeting, Prasanna Venkatesh informed.
On the directions of the Chief Minister’s office, the Irrigation Advisory Board meeting was held to review the drinking water supply in Krishna and Godavari delta, Collector Prasanna Venkatesh made it clear.
