Ban applicable to all parties: Sajjala

Must read

State Government Advisor (Public Affairs) Sajjala Ramakashna Reddy has clarified that the GO banning public meetings and rallies on the roads across the State is applicable to all parties including YSRC. He said that the government has no intention of imposing restrictions on opposition parties and letting loose to the ruling YSRC in this regard. He said that people’s lives are important to the YSRC government.

Sajjala said that TDP’s attitude had forced the government to bring the GO, if they violate the order and hold a meeting on January 4, they will have to face the consequences. He pointed out that failure in organising the Guntur programme and attracting poor women with substandard quality groceries is the worst thing that ever happened.

After the tragic incident, the TDP organisers walked away from the scene without responsibility which shows the true nature of the party.

Sajjala alleged that TDP is acting as if it is above the law. The wish of the TDP is that the system should not work, the police should not work, courts should be in TDP’s favour, Naidu should come back to power and Jagan must step down.

He said that they have no objection to Lokesh’s ‘padayatra’, Chandrababu’s yatra, or Pawan Kalyan’s bus yatra. He said that they are not imposing any restrictions on meetings, except that they are suggesting to all the parties to choose a ground for their meetings leaving public places.

Sajjala alleged that Chandrababu Naidu is an expert in caste-based politics and said this is the reason why he mentioned the names of castes and sub-castes of eight deceased in the Kandukuru tragic incident.

Sajjala said, “If BRS competes in the next elections, we welcome it. In a democracy, there should be healthy competition.”

He said that CM Jagan Mohan Reddy always says that there should be a righteous political war with healthy competition.
