BJP Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar has written an open letter to Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy urging the latter to ensure that the pending bills of the Sarpanches are released.
Even though the Congress government came to power in the State, the government has not yet paid attention to the pending bills of the Sarpanches. The Chief Minister during the election campaign promised to pay the pending bills of Sarpanches as soon as Congress came to power, Sanjay said, urging the State government to immediately hold a meeting with the representatives of the Sarpanches Association. He reminded that the Chief Minister that 50 days elapsed since the Congress government came to power, but the government did not give relief to sarpanches.
Sanjay accused the previous BRS government of diverting the funds meant for the villages. The funds were released by the Narendra Modi government at the Centre. He said that several Sarpanches committed suicide in the State as pending bills were not released.
He expressed anger over the government officials not recording the works done for the development of the village. The government should direct officials to immediately record the works done by the Sarpanchs for the development of their respective villages.
