District Collector C Narayana Reddy urged the doctors at the government hospital to provide better services to people.
He was holding a review meeting over the functioning of the government headquarters hospital here with the heads of various departments.
He stressed the need to provide quality medical under Aarogyasri in the district government main hospital. The services in the government hospital should be elevated on a par with private hospital for all patients, including those covered under Aarogyasri scheme.
The Collector warned the doctors of action if patients are advised to go private hospitals. He came to know that some private hospitals have been sending patients to government hospitals only after their condition turn critical. Action would be taken against private hospitals, too, in such cases, if necessary he said.
He said that the doctors and staff of the hospital should be punctual He said that the staff should be adjusted according to the work pressure in the respective departments and everyone should work as a team.
Additional Collector T Purnachandra, Chief Hospital Superintendent Nityanand, Principal Rajkumari of Government Medical College, Heads of Departments of Government Headquarters and others attended this meeting.
