Supraja Technologies founder Chaluvadi Santosh said that the cybercrime threat is growing and cautioned all to beware of cybercrimes.
The Commuter Science department of PB Siddhartha Arts and Science College organised a programme on ‘Cyber Securities-Ethical Hacking’ on the occasion of International Computer Security Day, here on Wednesday.
Supraja Technologies founder Chaluvadi Santosh attended the programme as chief guest and College Principal Dr.Meka Ramesh presided over the programme. Speaking on the occasion, Santosh explained the way in which the cyber criminals hack the accounts.
Santhosh created awareness about crimes related to the bank transactions, fake messages sent to mobile phones in the name of offers, methods followed by cyber criminals to steal key information like the bank account numbers and passwords, Aadhaar numbers.
“Nowadays, it has become common to create fake Facebook accounts and send messages to all their acquaintances to transfer money through apps like Phone Pay and Google Pay,” he said, advising Facebook users to secure their accounts by locking them.
Later he allayed the doubts of the students on the employment being available in the cyber security sector. Computer Science department head Dr.TS Ravi Kiran, training department head Kavuri Sridhar an in-charge Koneru Sudhir, faculty members and students were present.
