Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will release YSR Rythu Bharosa- PM Kisan scheme for the year 2023–24 for tenant farmers to the tune of Rs 109.74 crore to 1,46,324 tenant farmers belonging to SC/ST/BC/minorities across the State by click of the button by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy from CM camp office on Thursday (August 31). According to the Agriculture Department officials, with this a total of Rs 31,005.04 crore has been released to farmers across the State.

The State government under the leadership of CM Jagan Mohan Reddy has been providing financial assistance to farmers from October 15, 2019 under YSR Rythu Bharosa- PM Kisan scheme by identifying the eligible landowner families as beneficiaries under the scheme.

Under the scheme the first installment of Rs 7,500 is released in May (including PM Kisan Rs 2,000), the Second installment of Rs 4,000 in the month of October (including P.M. Kisan Rs 2,000) and the third installment of Rs 2,000 under PM Kisan scheme was released in the month of January with a total of Rs 13,500.

Similarly to tenant farmer families belonging to landless Schedule Tribes, Schedule Castes, Backward Castes and Minority Communities, cultivators of Endowments lands and forest land Rs 13,500 financial assistance has been provided in 3 installments from the funds of the state government itself into the farmers’ accounts. The first installment of Rs 7500 in the month of May, Second installment Rs 4,000 in the month of October and the Third installment of Rs 2,000 in the month of January has been deposited in their accounts.

The farmers who received the financial assistance of Rs 6,173 crore in 2019-20 are 46,69,375 that includes landlords 45,11,252 and landless poor 1,08,256 and farmers who received the financial assistance of Rs 6,928 crore in 2020-21 are 51,59,045 that includes 50,04,874 landlords and 69,899 landless poor.

For the year 2021-22, farmers who received the financial assistance of Rs 7016.59 crore are 52,38,517 that includes landlords 50,66,241 and landless poor 89,877. In 2022-23, Rs 6944.50 crore was disbursed to 51,40,943 that includes 49,26,041 landlords and 1,23,871 landless poor across the State.
