Biggest digi-deal for Naga Chaitanya’s Thandel

Naga Chaitanya and Chandoo Mondeti joined forces for the third time for the beautiful rural backdrop love story Thandel which is progressing with its shoot. Sai Pallavi is the female lead opposite Naga Chaitanya in the movie produced ambitiously by Bunny Vasu, with Allu Aravind presenting it under the Geetha Arts banner.
The movie has been carrying a strong buzz ever since it was announced. The first look, teaser, and other promos were also well-received. Meanwhile, the film’s business started on a massive note. The leading OTT platform Netflix obtained the digital rights of Thandel for all South Indian and Hindi languages for a staggering price of Rs 40 Cr. This is the biggest digital deal for Naga Chaitanya.
While Naga Chaitanya is one of the most bankable stars, Chandoo Mondeti delivered the biggest hit of his career to date with Karthikeya 2, and Geetha Arts is one of the biggest production houses in India. All these factors impacted Thandel to get such a fancy offer.
Apart from a beautiful love story, Thandel will also have patriotic elements, as shown in the teaser, which has set high expectations for the movie. Shamdat cranks the camera, while rockstar Devi Sri Prasad provides the music. Srinagendra Tangala is the art director.
