Bike rally taken out in support of ‘Maha Dharna’

A bike rally was taken out here on Saturday by activists of various organisations and trade unions extending solidarity to the ‘Maha Dharna’ to be organised on November 27 and 28 in Vijayawada.
The bike rally began at Bhanugudi centre and reached the Ambedkar statue via the main road and Temple Street.
CITU district general secretary Chekkala Rajkumar said that the Mahadarna would be organised in Vijayawada Gymkhana grounds to exert pressure on the government to concede the legitimate demands including minimum salary of Rs 26,000 to workers, MSP to the farmers for their produce, issuance of identity cards to the tenant farmers, disbursement of crop loans and payment of Rs 600 wages to the MGNRES and providing 200 work days. Leaders of various trade unions and organisations were among those who participated in the programme.
