Launching a blistering attack on the BRS government, the BJP’s official spokesperson in TS, NV Subhash, said that the KCR government failed to provide safety to the common man during the recent rains which claimed two children in the city.
A girl named Maunika fell into a manhole in Kalasiguda and a six-year-old boy died in Jubilee hills due to heavy rains, he said and asked whether this is the “Telangana model.”
“KCR always makes false promises to the people. What is the ‘Telangana Model’ BRS wants to implement in other states when it is unable to save the lives of people in Hyderabad where most of its leaders have been living for decades,” he said.
Subhash said that due to the negligence of the KCR government, many people died in wall collapses and by falling into open manholes and in stray dog attacks.
Demanding the resignation of Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao taking moral responsibility for the inept handling of the situation including the stray dog menace reported in the city, Subhash said that the KCR government has totally failed to save kids from stray dogs.
The BJP leader asked what happened to the promise made by KCR government to make Hyderabad a Dallas.
Taking a dig at the BRS government, he said that the woes of the people, particularly those living in low-lying areas, are unimaginable even if the city experiences minor showers. Two-wheelers and cars are being washed away as the government is not bothering to divert rainwater, he said.
Subhash said the BRS government is not providing infrastructure to make the drainage system effective although it is collecting over Rs 3,000 crore as property tax from Hyderabad city alone.
The people of Telangana would teach a lesson to the BRS government which is in deep slumber leaving people to their fate, he said.
