BJP takes out rally in support of the UCC

BJP district unit on Wednesday took out a procession here in support of the Uniform Civil Code bill to be introduced in Lok Sabha during the monsoon session.

The procession would its way through Nizamsagar crossroads, Railway Kaman, Subash Raod, JPN Road, Siricilla Road, Indira Chowk and Station Road and culminated in a meeting at the new bus station.

Addressing the gathering, BJP Kamareddy Assembly constituency in-charge Katipalli Venkataramana Reddy said if the Bill became the law, it would usher in a revolutionary change in society.

He appealed to all political parties to extend their support to the BJP in passing the bill. While some parties regard minorities as their vote bank, but Centre would give equal importance to one and all.

He called upon the people to support the BJP-led government at the Centre. The UCC would pose no problem to Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Jains and others. The passing of the UCC into law should be welcomed by all, he said.

The party activists raised slogans in support of the bill. They appealed to all sections of people to extend their support to the Central government.
