Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) AP president Daggubati Purandeswari has revealed that a campaign is being conducted with 50 chariots in Andhra Pradesh to inform the people about the Central government schemes and to create awareness among the beneficiaries.
Purandeswari unveiled the Vikasit Bharat calendar and inaugurated the exhibition of ‘Vikasit Bharat’ films here on Thursday. She said that five lakh calendars would be distributed to the people.
Purandeswari said, “We are doing the Vikasit Bharat programme all over the country. We will promote the development and welfare programmes implemented by the Centre. It is very bad that central schemes are being advertised as state schemes by putting stickers on them in Andhra Pradesh. The people of the state should come to the Radham when it comes to their villages to know the details of the central schemes. BJP cadres also working to aware the public about central schemes in this Vikasit Bharat programme.“
Responding to the ruckus at Nagarjuna Sagar during water release between AP and Telangana States, Purandeswari found fault with the AP government for not resolving the water issues for the past four and half years and said that it is very bad to send the police to Nagarjuna Sagar. She asked why the AP government was in such a hurry now that they had ignored it for four and a half years. She further asked what the Jagan government was doing when a drought situation prevailed in 400 Mandals. Purandeswari alleged that the Jagan government was trying to suppress those who raised their voices in support of farmers, there was no discussion in the Jagan’s cabinet regarding drought, and ridiculed the public who didn’t know who was agriculture minister as he was not doing anything for drought.
